Steamy Sunday Coffee!
Good morning everyone!
Waking up to a steamy summer morning! Sure feels like August today! Got the pot brewing and am enjoying decaf and black!
Lost power yesterday for about eight hours. Branches downed some power lines on our block during the storms. Was worried about the freezer and no a/c. Thankfully it didn't get too hot in here and I ran some frozen items to my daughter.
QOTD-What do you miss the most when you loose power? I enjoy the forced quiet from TV and computer, but I miss the ability to cook anything. It's during that time that I wish I had a gas instead of an electric stove.

Good morning! I'm drinking my coffee, nursing Western. I have been battling teeny-tiny microscopic ants this morning. I woke up and found them on my nightstand and on my tee shirt...after I got out of bed. So, hubby got the baby and I am in the middle of tearing apart my bedroom. I have vacuumed everything and moved everything around trying to find the source, but no luck so far. I'm gonna check again in about 10 minutes to see if there are more and where they are coming from. Grrrrr....
Other than the ants, we are hanging by the pool today. My sis and BIL are coming over later, but that's all we intend to do today.
QOTD: I DEFINITELY miss the internet when the power's out. I am an official internet junkie.The tv is on in the background, but I rarely just sit and watch tv without the computer. I don't really go anywhere for any length of time without my laptop and internet access. I've been known to sit in the parking lot of the local Holiday Inn during power outages with my laptop accessing their internet. LOL! I still love to read. While I am usually reading a book or two at a time, I also find LOTS of things to read about online, too, so it's not ALWAYS mindless surfing, posting on OH, and Facebook. LOL!

Wow what a warm one already. I'm working on water this morning - had breakfast at 7:00.
I must have slept through the storm here last night, dogs found all the puddles this morning.
QOTD- I have only lost power twice in seven years where I live but seeing on how I work for the power company - I usually have to work when things get busy in the Tri-City area . . so I'm not really affected. I did use my grill one of the times I lost power and it was kind of fun . . . if you call that ruffing it . . . lol

I hate hot weather! Especially hot Humid weather. Storms woke me up last night with the blowing rain against the windows. Don't notice any damage though. Hubby is on his way back from up north now with a bedroom set that I wanted to sell on Craigs List when I got up north. He wants to donate it to our church because we help so many unfortunate people. That's probably a better place for it to go. Then he put another bedroom set into the bedroom, and I wanted to buy white wicker for that room. UGH, why doesn't he ever listen to me??? I've told him that probably ten times. Now I'm joining the pissed off club. Protein shake for me this morning.
QOTD: I think I miss TV most. We watch a lot of TV in this house, and this forces us to talk. Imagine that. Not a bad thing. I miss the AC too. We rarely lose power for any length of time here tho.

Good morning everyone.I haven't been here in a while.My pc was in the shop and we just picked it up the other night.I think I would miss my internet the most also.My family and I have only had a pc for about a year and I am totally addicted.My hubby also he stayed up until 3am the night we got it back.I am glad for this weather finally.Hope everyone is well enjoy this hot one.

We have been up for awhile hanging around the house. Today we are having an indoor picnic with my inlaws who are coming to see the baby. So it should be a nice day. I am making breakfast right now and then going to bake a cake so that we have something for dessert for them.
The heat is a bother for me so I do not go out unless I have to.
QOTD: I miss my air conditioning. I love my air and hate having to deal with being all sweaty and nasty because of the heat. I also miss the noise. Although sometimes the quiet is really nice. Other than that I am okay with the power being out I can entertain myself.. But if it was out for more than a day or two I would be going crazy!

Today is just too Hot to do anything! But we gotta go to Petco to get LOLA treats, and head grocery shopping! YAY! Went to the Drs the other day, and everything is good. Ive lost 20lbs! But I still gotta lose 30lb more (for my sake)! I go back to work on the 17th UGH! Not sure how I am gonna leave my lil peanut, but At least I know she will be taken care of! My mom is watching her! YAY No daycare bill! LOL
I hope everyone is enjoying there day! Here is my lil peanut all ready to take on the day ( clothes are a tad big but give her another 2 weeks or so LOL)
